Description

National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team of highly trained, caring professionals at our surgery center in Lady Lake, FL.

• Hours: Dayshift
• Monday-Friday
• Setting: Surgery Center/Operating Room

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

• Provide patient care as directed by physicians and management
• Effectively communicate information to the physicians/nurses and relay associated responses back to patients
• Complete documentation for patient charts by obtaining diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, X-rays, path reports, etc.); vital signs, reviewing current medications, dosage, and dosage schedule; noting any allergies; and recording Provider(s’) orders and prescriptions.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A high school degree or equivalent education and training.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or EMT-B training course required
• CMA/RMA certification preferred
• Experience with electronic medical records
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.
